Tara Parsell began her career working as an assistant on a national news desk, where she experienced first-hand what works (and what doesn't) when pitching media.
With more than a decade spent in PR agencies, spanning the fields of healthcare, entertainment, startups, food, etc., Tara focuses on building the story behind the brand. She has placed hundreds of stories in major online, print, broadcast, cable and new media publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, People, CNN, ABC News.
Using first-hand pitching experience to build media relations teams from the ground up, her work has been recognized by PRSA, Bulldog Reporter, PRDaily and PRNews.
In 2021, she founded Media Pros(e) as a dedicated resource on media relations strategy. With a growing readership of seasoned public relations professionals, agency owners and media relations freelancers, Media Pros(e) continues to be a community for those in the industry.
